As The Church of The Resurrection continues to grow and evolve, we are excited to be continually improving this important component of our community: Youth Education. That is a pretty dry term for what we hope will is a fun and exciting part of our Sunday Services. The Youth Education Team has chosen to use the “Faithweaver” curriculum, which has been used very successfully by other Christ-centered Anglican Churches. “Faithweaver” uses a combination of Scripture, stories and activities to make a life of faith in Jesus clear to children of varying ages. Additionally, “Faithweaver” assists families in continuing worship at home and growing in Christ together. We firmly believe that this will support our goal to give our children a firm foundation in God’s Truth, which will have an impact throughout their lives.
Our Sunday Morning services include The children, who either sit as a group in the front of the sanctuary, (where they are supervised by the teachers), or they can sit with their family. After a brief 'Youth Talk' by the Rector, the children leave for their classes, which take place during the remainder of the formal worship time. It is our desire that the children understand that they are an important part of the Resurrection Community, and we recognize that providing a fun and interesting way to learn about our heavenly Father and all He desires for our lives is one of THE most important aspects of the ministry of this Church.
