MISSION TEAM UPDATE (5/16/08)
The next At Jacob's Well Dinner is scheduled for Wednesday, June 25th starting at 4:45pm. The Mission Team is always looking for volunteers who would like to serve and or provide macaroni and cheese, green salad, desserts and drinks. (edie0710@gmail.com)or sign up this Sunday at church.
Thanks to Jeanne Baetjer, I met Malcolm Gee who is involved with AHEAD (Adventures in Health, Education & Agricultural Development), an organization doing great work in Gambia and Tanzania, Africa. He has presented me with two possible projects for us to help him. One is helping women set up workstations to make and sell mosquito nets to help them become self-sustaining. The other is teaching women how to construct Rocket Stoves, a backup for the Solar Stoves they have already learned to use. We can help in any way we choose, by going to Africa or by funding. I will post the proposals on the Mission Team board. Please take a look.
